Roy Hodgson: 'Crystal Palace not interested in selling Wilfried Zaha'

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson moves to end speculation about the future of Wilfried Zaha by declaring that the Ivorian is going nowhere for "the next four years."

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has issued a hands-off warning to clubs interested in Wilfried Zaha by stating that the Eagles have "no interest or desire to sell him".

The 25-year-old was instrumental in helping Palace avoid relegation from the Premier League last season despite a woeful start to the campaign.

A number of clubs have therefore been linked with Zaha this summer, including Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund, but Hodgson is adamant that his player will be going nowhere for the next few years.

"What people seem to forget with Wilf is he has got a four-year contract," the former England boss is quoted by the Liverpool Echo as saying.

"There is speculation every year around Messi and Ronaldo too. He is our player for the next four years and the club has got no interest or desire to sell him."

On Monday, Palace confirmed that Zaha left the club's pre-season training camp in Sweden to deal with a family issue.
