Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has joined La Liga side Las Palmas on loan until the end of the season.

Bajcetic joined Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg on a season-long loan move in the summer, linking up with former Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders.

However, according to The Athletic, Bajcetic grew 'increasingly keen' to leave after Lijnders was relieved of his duties as Salzburg boss in December.

While there was no recall clause in his loan deal, Salzburg agreed to terminate Bajcetic's loan following 19 appearances in all competitions.

Liverpool have now confirmed that the 20-year-old has left on another loan deal, joining Las Palmas for the remainder of the campaign.

Bajcetic, who opted to join Las Palmas over Porto and Getafe, could make his debut in Monday's La Liga home fixture against Girona.

Speaking to reporters at his official unveiling on Saturday morning, the midfielder said: "I'm ready to play right away, if the coach gives me the chance, I'll be there.

"It's important for loaned players to get playing time and increase their value. Las Palmas is a team that gives opportunities, and I want to grow as a footballer."

Diego Martinez's side are currently sitting in 15th place in the league table, with a three-point buffer to the bottom three.

Lamptey set to complete Ajax switch

Elsewhere, Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey is reportedly heading towards a move to Dutch giants Ajax.

Lamptey faces an uncertain situation at the Amex Stadium, with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.

As a result, he looks set to depart before Monday's deadline or in the summer, especially as he has struggled for playing time this season, featuring in just nine of Brighton's 23 Premier League games.

A recent report claimed that fellow Premier League club Leicester City were keen to sign the Ghana international.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the Brighton full-back looks set to leave the English top flight to complete a move to Ajax.

The Dutch side are willing to sign Lamptey for a cut-price £1.5m fee before the winter transfer window slams shut on Monday.

Ajax are keen to bolster their squad after recently securing their place in the Europa League playoffs, with Francesco Farioli's side set to face Union SG in the knockout rounds.

QPR on brink of Vale signing

Meanwhile, Championship side Queens Park Rangers are reportedly on the verge of signing Chelsea academy product Harvey Vale.

The 21-year-old returned to Chelsea last summer after spending the 2023-24 campaign on loan with League One outfit Bristol Rovers.

After turning down a summer move to the Saudi Pro League, Vale has had to be content with playing the majority of his football with the Under-21s this season, although he did make two first-team appearances in the Conference League.

However, he now looks set to bid farewell to his boyhood club in the hope of gaining regular playing time in the Championship.

According to the Daily Mail, QPR have reached an agreement to sign the Chelsea youngster on a permanent deal ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.

Chelsea decided to waive a transfer fee for a player who was out of contract at the end of the season, although they had the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months.

The report claims that the Blues have decided to pass up a transfer fee in favour of including a sell-on clause with bonus payments.

Having fended off interest from other clubs in England and Europe, it is now just a matter of time before QPR unveil the attacker as the latest member of Marti Cifuentes's squad. body check tags ::
