Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is reportedly prepared to consider a loan switch to Liverpool.

Since it emerged that the France international has no interest in extending his contract at Parc des Princes, there has been constant speculation regarding his future.

Rather than being open to retaining the all-time club top goalscorer's services for another year, PSG are eager to cash in as soon as possible on a player that they had hoped would generate a world-record fee.

With Al-Hilal now out of the picture, PSG will realistically have little choice but to consider parting ways with Mbappe for a much-less lucrative proposal.

The Ligue 1 champions allegedly fear that Mbappe has already agreed to sign for Real Madrid on a free transfer, while Los Blancos could theoretically make a smaller bid later this month.

Nevertheless, a loan move to the Premier League has been suggested as a possible alternative for Mbappe, with Chelsea seemingly ready to consider such a move.

Mbappe, who is 24 years of age, is said to be open to signing for the West Londoners, but only if his stay lasts for the entirety of the 2023-24 campaign.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool would be his preferred destination should such a proposal materialise.

The report suggests that sponsors of the Merseyside giants would be prepared to help facilitate a eye-catching deal for the 2018 World Cup winner.

At the start of the week, manager Jurgen Klopp was quick to play down reports that Liverpool could involve themselves in the race for Mbappe's signature.

Klopp suggested that a transfer had not been discussed and would only become a possibility if club officials were working on a deal 'in secret'.

With Roberto Firmino having departed Liverpool this summer, Klopp is theoretically open to signing a new forward, particularly one who can play in more than one position in the final third.
