Atletico Madrid have reportedly contacted Chelsea over a move for Belgium forward Michy Batshuayi.

Batshuayi spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, and it is thought that the striker is surplus to requirements at Chelsea in this summer's transfer window.

Valencia have been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old, but according to L'Equipe, Atletico are now in the hunt and have already approached Chelsea over a potential deal.

Batshuayi moved to England in the summer of 2016 and has scored 19 times in 53 appearances for the Blues.

The Belgium international managed nine goals in his 14 appearances while on loan at Dortmund last term.
