Alvaro Morata "very excited" for new season

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata reveals that he is "very excited" ahead of the new season.

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has revealed that he is "very excited" ahead of the new season.

The Spanish forward, who had an underwhelming first season at Stamford Bridge, netted 11 times in 31 Premier League games before being overlooked for a spot at the World Cup.

Writing on Instagram, however, Morata has insisted that he is prepared to fight to regain his form for the Blues next season.

"Very excited to start again. The past was hard but that is only one more reason to begin fighting again," the 25-year-old said.

Morata was an 89th-minute substitute in Chelsea's FA Cup final victory over Manchester United at the end of last term.
