Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

:Headline: Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers:
Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Sports Mole

Chelsea return to action on Sunday afternoon when they play host to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

Despite their recent upturn in form, the Blues were humbled on Wednesday night as they suffered a deserved 4-1 defeat at the hands of Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Although Mauricio Pochettino was able to welcome back a couple of key first-team players in that fixture, the Argentine still has a wide array of stars in the treatment room.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of welcoming the West Midlands outfit to the capital.

Levi Colwill

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Tendon
Possible return date: February 4 (vs. Wolves)

Levi Colwill has missed the last two matches with what has been described as a 'minor tendon injury'. As it stands, it appears unlikely that the defender will be considered for a recall this weekend.

Wesley Fofana

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Wesley Fofana is yet to make an appearance for Chelsea this term due to a serious knee injury and the defender is unlikely to return before next season.

Lesley Ugochukwu

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Lesley Ugochukwu sustained a hamstring injury in the loss to Wolves on Christmas Eve, and the midfielder was ruled out for at least six weeks earlier this month.

Robert Sanchez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: February 12 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Robert Sanchez is still recovering from a knee injury picked up against Everton in December, and the goalkeeper is targeting a return at some stage this month.

Marc Cucurella

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Marc Cucurella was another victim of that defeat to Everton, sustaining an ankle injury which required surgery, and the left-back is not expected to return until March at the earliest.

Reece James

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Reece James underwent hamstring surgery just before Christmas and the Chelsea captain is facing a race against time to be fit before the end of the season.

Romeo Lavia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: Unknown

Romeo Lavia's long-awaited return to the Chelsea side following a lengthy spell out with an ankle injury was cut short by a thigh problem, and it remains to be seen when the midfielder will return to the first-team fold.

Trevoh Chalobah

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 12 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Trevoh Chalobah, who is yet to play for Chelsea this season due to a troublesome thigh injury, has recently been spotted in training, and the defender is nearing a return to the first-team squad.

CHELSEA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Chelsea have no suspended players for this match.
