Brendan Rodgers: "We were playing like Under-12s at times"

Brendan Rodgers

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted that his side underperformed in the Hoops' 5-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The Scottish champions were unmatched against a PSG side that featured the most expensive frontline in world football, as the trio of Neymar, Edinson Cavani, and Kylian Mbappe all put their names on the scoresheet.

Rodgers slammed his team following the defeat at Celtic Park, telling reporters: "This is a level where you have to look after the ball and you have to make it work for you. In the first half we didn't do that, we were playing like Under-12s at times."

Celtic are favourites finish bottom of their group, as the Hoops have to prepare themselves for games against Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich as well as Belgian champions Anderlecht.

The Glasgow-based club face Anderlecht next in the Champions League in Belgium, followed by an away trip to the Allianz Arena to face Bayern.
