Sheridan ready to ring changes to end Carlisle's poor run

The Cumbrians face struggling Grimsby who have lost six League Two games in a row.

Carlisle boss John Sheridan is determined to make changes for his side's Brunton Park clash with struggling Grimsby.

Sheridan was left frustrated after watching his side fall to another home defeat against Stevenage on Saturday.

And to add to the Cumbrians' problems both Jack Sowerby (knee) and Richie Bennett (groin) face late fitness tests after being forced off on Saturday.

Danny Grainger remains on the sidelines while striker Jerry Yates serves the second match of his current suspension.

Grimsby boss Michael Jolley has more injury problems to contend with as his side aim to avoid a seventh League Two defeat in a row.

Defender Harry Davis is expected to be out for some time after suffering an injury in Saturday's defeat to Morecambe, while Ben Pringle is also unlikely to figure.

Akin Famewo is still sidelined due to his recent concussion but Jolley is more optimistic over midfielder Jordan Cook who faces a late fitness test.

Harry Caldwell has returned to training with the Mariners but is still considered to be be some way short of regaining match fitness.
