Ajax have reportedly identified Manchester City starlet James McAtee as a replacement for Mohammed Kudus.

The Dutch giants parted ways with Kudus on Sunday, with the Ghana international completing a reported £38m transfer to West Ham United.

Kudus is the latest high-profile player to depart Ajax this summer after Edson Alvarez, Jurrien Timber, Calvin Bassey and Dusan Tadic, and head coach Maurice Steijn is now keen to use the funds generated to bolster his squad with new signings before the Dutch transfer window closes on Thursday.

According to The Telegraph, Ajax are among a number of clubs who hold an interest in 20-year-old midfielder McAtee.

Wolves confirm Guedes return to Benfica

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Goncalo Guedes has rejoined Benfica on a season-long loan deal.

Last summer, Wolves paid in the region of £27.5m to sign Guedes from Valencia, the expectation being that he would become a key part of the first team.

However, the Portugal international failed to justify his price-tag, contributing just one goal and one assist from 708 minutes of Premier League football.

Soon after the arrival of Julen Lopetegui, it became apparent that the 26-year-old had fallen down the pecking order under the Spaniard.

Wolves' Goncalo Guedes returns to Benfica on loan

Sporting director Matt Hobbs said: "After the tough period Goncalo had with the injury last year, it's important for him to go out and get as many minutes as possible, in an environment he knows well, at a club which knows him well – they've been a big part of his rehab, so it's a move which makes sense.

"We had to make sure he was going to play enough, and with all the competitions Benfica are in, he's going to play a lot of games. He's just become a father for the first time and now has a son there, so he'll be happy off the pitch, which will hopefully allow him to perform on it.

"Also, the fact we can use his wages to hopefully supplement other deals this last week can only be a positive for us. It frees up money to be spent elsewhere and gives him an opportunity to play games."

Porto sign Jorge Sanchez from Ajax

Bayern Munich 'offered chance to sign Eric Dier'

Bayern Munich have reportedly been offered the chance to sign out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Eric Dier.

The England international has been unable to play his way into Ange Postecoglou's good books and has failed to make a Premier League squad in 2023-24 so far.

Dier is also in the final year of his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Spurs are hoping to garner a nominal fee for him this summer before he departs on a free transfer.

A part-exchange deal with Fulham for Tosin Adarabioyo has been mooted, but Tottenham are seemingly behind Monaco in the race for the ex-Manchester City academy product.

West Ham 'pull out of Harry Maguire race'

West Ham United have reportedly ended their interest in signing Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire.

The Irons have been fighting tooth and nail to bring the world's most expensive defender to the London Stadium after he was stripped of the Red Devils captaincy by Erik ten Hag.

West Ham had apparently agreed a £30m deal with Man United for Maguire's signature, but a deal collapsed after the defender failed to agree terms over a payoff with the Red Devils.

Instead, David Moyes's men brought Dinos Mavropanos back to England from Stuttgart for £18m, but they have supposedly been considering reigniting their interest in Maguire in the final week of the transfer window.

Man United 'submit official loan bid for Marc Cucurella'

Manchester United have reportedly made an official bid to sign Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella on an initial loan deal.

The Red Devils are desperately searching for reinforcements in that area of the field following injuries to first-choice Luke Shaw and his deputy Tyrell Malacia.

Shaw's muscular problem is expected to keep the England international sidelined for several weeks, while Malacia is yet to make an appearance in the current campaign.

With Ipswich Town signing Brandon Williams on loan, Erik ten Hag has been left with Alvaro Fernandez as his only recognised left-back, while Diogo Dalot deputised on that side in the weekend's win over Nottingham Forest.

Transfer rumours: Pavard to Inter, Holding to Luton, Spence to Leeds

Inter Milan are reportedly closing in on the signing of Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard.

The 27-year-old is seeking a fresh challenge after four years with the Bavarian giants, making 163 appearances and winning 10 trophies including four Bundesliga titles.

Pavard was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League earlier this summer amid reported interest from Manchester United, but Serie A side Inter now appear to have won the race for his signature.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Inter have agreed to sign Pavard from Bayern for an initial €30m (£25.8m) plus €2m (£1.7m) in add-ons.

Arsenal 'reject Chelsea approach for Smith Rowe'

Arsenal have reportedly rejected an approach from Chelsea for versatile attacker Emile Smith Rowe.

Having spent in excess of £200m in the summer transfer window, Arsenal are in a position where they could benefit from selling a number of squad players before Friday's deadline.

Recent progress has been made with regards to reducing the size of Mikel Arteta's squad with Kieran Tierney having moved to Real Sociedad on loan.

Folarin Balogun is also on the brink of making the permanent switch to Monaco in a big-money deal, reducing Arteta's options in the final third.

Fulham 'closing in on Steven Benda signing'

Fulham are reportedly close to signing Swansea City goalkeeper Steven Benda.

The Cottagers have started the final week of the transfer window with the addition of Timothy Castagne from Leicester City.

The Belgium international has returned to the Premier League signing a contract until the summer of 2027 with an option for a further year.

After completing their fourth summer signing of the transfer window, Fulham are understood to be close to making their fifth addition.

Man United 'add Tagliafico to left-back shortlist'

Manchester United have reportedly identified Lyon defender Nicolas Tagliafico as a potential transfer target.

With United having signed a new goalkeeper, creative midfielder and forward, attention was expected to turn to acquiring a new centre-back and central midfielder.

Head coach Erik ten Hag allegedly remains keen to strengthen in each of those areas, but his focus has needed to turn to the left-back area.

Luke Shaw - who also acts as a central-defensive option - has been ruled out for a number of months with a muscle injury, while Tyrell Malacia is also currently on the sidelines.

Fulham 'agree deal to sign Sevilla winger Lucas Ocampos'

Fulham have reportedly agreed a deal with Sevilla to sign attacker Lucas Ocampos.

The Cottagers are working had to make a number of signings in the final week of the transfer window after Marco Silva recently claimed he wanted to make five more additions to his side.

Timothy Castagne completed a move from Leicester City earlier today, becoming Fulham's fourth signing of the summer following Calvin Bassey, Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore.

As well as strengthening their defence, Fulham are also looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of Friday's transfer deadline.

The 25-year-old arrives at Goodison Park for an undisclosed fee, thought to be worth around £26m, and has put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him on Merseyside until 2027.

Beto becomes Everton's fifth signing of the summer, following Ashley Young, Arnaut Danjuma, Youssef Chermiti and Jack Harrison through the door.

Villa interested in signing Barcelona defender Lenglet?

Aston Villa are allegedly toying with the idea of making an approach for Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet.

The West Midlands outfit have enjoyed a productive start to the season in both the Premier League and Europa Conference League playoff round.

As well as collecting six points from three games in England's top flight, a 5-0 first-leg triumph over Hibernian on the continent has put Unai Emery's side on the brink of progressing through to the group stages.

However, the Spaniard has been left in a position where he and Villa need to be active during the closing days of the summer transfer windows courtesy of long-term injuries suffered by Tyrone Mings and Emiliano Buendia.

Man United 'make contact with Spurs over Hojbjerg deal'

Manchester United have reportedly made "initial contact" with Tottenham Hotspur over a deal for midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The 28-year-old is facing an uncertain future in North London having fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of new head coach Ange Postecoglou.

Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr have started together in centre-midfield in each of Spurs' opening three Premier League fixtures, while Hojbjerg has been restricted to just two substitute appearances.

New recruit James Maddison, Oliver Skipp and Giovani Lo Celso are three more midfield options available to Postecoglou, as well as Rodrigo Bentancur who could return from a long-term knee injury in October.

Al-Ittihad want Liverpool defender Joe Gomez?

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez has reportedly attracted interest from Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad.

The 26-year-old has spent the last eight years with the Reds since joining from Charlton Athletic and has made a total of 175 appearances across all competitions.

However, injuries and a decline in form during the second half of last season resulted in Gomez losing his place in Jurgen Klopp's starting lineup, and he has since fallen down the pecking order behind Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip.

Gomez, who can play at either centre-back or right-back, started just 15 Premier League games last season and has since made only two substitute outings in the new campaign.

Tottenham 'reject £7.7m Rennes bid for Davinson Sanchez'

Tottenham Hotspur have turned down a €9m (£7.7m) bid from Ligue 1 club Rennes for Colombian centre-back Davinson Sanchez, according to a report.

The former Ajax man has been expected to bid farewell to the Premier League after his own fans turned on him during Spurs' defeat against Bournemouth last season.

Sanchez had come off the bench to replace the injured Clement Lenglet but was soon substituted himself by Cristian Stellini, being booed by the home crowd in the process as Tottenham suffered a 3-2 loss.

The 27-year-old was already below Eric Dier, Cristian Romero and Ben Davies in the defensive pecking order, while new arrival Micky van de Ven has established himself as Romero's first-choice partner in Ange Postecoglou's four-man backline.

Marcos Alonso 'turns down two-year Man United deal'

Barcelona left-back Marcos Alonso has reportedly turned down a two-year contract offer from Manchester United.

The Red Devils are currently light in the left-back department as both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are facing extended periods on the sidelines with muscle injuries.

Alvaro Fernandez – who has been linked with a summer exit from Old Trafford – is the only natural left-back option available to manager Erik ten Hag, who is keen to delve into the transfer market and reinforce his defence before the window closes on Friday.

Man United have recently been credited with an interest in a plethora of left-backs including former Chelsea man Alonso, who has been linked with a possible summer exit from Barcelona.

Arsenal 'willing to sell Smith Rowe amid Chelsea interest'

Arsenal are reportedly open to letting Emile Smith Rowe leave the club before the summer transfer window closes on Friday.

The England international was a shining light for Arsenal during the 2021-22 campaign, netting 10 Premier League goals and largely keeping Gabriel Martinelli out of the team.

However, following a serious groin injury and subsequent operation, Smith Rowe has returned to the fringes of Mikel Arteta's squad and did not start a single Premier League game last season.

The 23-year-old is also yet to earn any top-flight minutes in the current campaign, and he was only brought off the bench for the final three minutes of the Community Shield.

The 27-year-old arrives at Craven Cottage for an undisclosed fee and has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2027, with the option to extend that by a further 12 months.

Castagne will wear the number 21 shirt for Fulham and becomes their fourth signing of the summer, after Calvin Bassey, Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore.

The Belgian international is not expected to feature during this evening's EFL Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur, but could make his Fulham debut when they visit champions Manchester City on Saturday.

PSG 'considering reviving interest in Ndombele'

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has allegedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain.

Ndombele is currently back at the Premier League side after spending the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Napoli, where he won the Serie A title.

The 26-year-old made a total of eight starts and 22 substitute outings in the Italian top flight during his stint in Naples, and there had been suggestions that he could be reintegrated back into the Spurs first-team squad under new head coach Ange Postecoglou.

However, that has not proven to be the case, the Frenchman missing out on a place in the senior ranks for all of the club's friendlies and Premier League fixtures under the Greek-Australian.

Fred confirms Altay Bayindir to Man United move

Former Manchester United midfielder Fred has seemingly confirmed that Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir will soon move to Old Trafford.

Earlier in the summer transfer window, Fred departed the Premier League side to take on a new challenge in Turkey at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.

Since then, the 30-year-old has made two appearances for Fenerbahce, but it appears that he will soon be seeing one of his new teammates move in the opposite direction.

United have been in the market for a new goalkeeper all summer, a consequence of David de Gea departing on a free transfer and Dean Henderson being frequently linked with a transfer elsewhere.

Al-Ittihad 'to test Liverpool resolve with £129m Salah bid'

Liverpool are reportedly expected to receive a €150m (£128.7m) offer from Al-Ittihad for Mohamed Salah.

Teams from the Saudi Pro League, particularly those owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), have been relentless in their efforts to add star names to the division over the past three months.

Although some high-profile players have rejected the opportunity to move to the Middle East, the likes of N'Golo Kante, Neymar, Sadio Mane and Karim Benzema have joined Cristiano Ronaldo.

More expensive transfers are expected, however, and it has been well documented that there is interest in Salah eventually making the switch to one of the league's top clubs.

Transfer rumours: Ndidi to Bayern, Elvedi to Everton, Guendouzi to Marseille

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are reportedly aiming to hijack Nottingham Forest's proposed deal for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.

The Nigeria international has been expected to depart the King Power Stadium following the Foxes' relegation to the Championship and was believed to be on the verge of moving to the City Ground.

However, according to Football Insider, Bayern could throw a late spanner into the works, as Thomas Tuchel's side have also shortlisted Ndidi as a potential midfield target.

The Bavarians are thought to be searching far and wide for a defensive midfielder before Friday's transfer deadline, and Ndidi would be a cheaper alternative to Fulham's Joao Palhinha.
