Sunday's La Liga predictions including Elche vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Elche vs. Barcelona.

Cadiz vs. Rayo Vallecano (Sunday, 1.00pm)

Rayo Vallecano will be looking to end a run of five straight La Liga defeats when they travel to Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla on Sunday afternoon to take on Cadiz.

The visitors, who lost in the Copa del Rey semi-finals on Thursday, are currently 12th in the table, 10 points clear of 18th-placed Cadiz, who are battling to retain their status at this level of football.

We say: Cadiz 1-1 Rayo Vallecano

The team with the worst home record in La Liga meets the side with the worst away record, so it is difficult to call this match. Cadiz will certainly be the fresher of the two, but Rayo will be determined to bounce back from their Copa del Rey disappointment, so we have had to settle on a low-scoring draw here.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Elche vs. Barcelona (Sunday, 3.15pm)

Barcelona will be bidding to make it three La Liga victories in a row when they travel to Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero on Sunday afternoon to take on Elche.

The Catalan giants are currently fourth in the table, one point behind third-placed Real Betis with a game in hand, while Elche occupy 13th, eight points clear of the relegation zone.

We say: Elche 1-2 Barcelona

Elche's recent home form has been excellent and must be taken into consideration when predicting this match, but we are finding it difficult to back against Barcelona, who are on an impressive run of form. It could be a tight scoreline, but the visitors should shade this contest on Sunday afternoon.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Celta Vigo vs. Mallorca (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Celta Vigo will be looking to return to winning ways in Spain's top flight when they welcome relegation-threatened Mallorca to Vigo on Sunday night.

The home side are currently 10th in the table, boasting 32 points from their 26 league matches this season, while Mallorca sit 16th, just five points clear of the relegation zone.

We say: Celta Vigo 2-1 Mallorca

Celta have found it difficult to show their best form at home this season, but they will be the favourites this weekend against lowly Mallorca. We are expecting a tight match on Sunday but fancy Celta to collect all three points, which could move them into ninth position depending on Valencia's result on Saturday.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Real Betis vs. Atletico (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Arguably the biggest match of the upcoming La Liga weekend will take place in Seville on Sunday evening, as Real Betis welcome Atletico Madrid to Estadio Benito Villamarin.

Real Betis - third in the table - booked their spot in the Copa del Rey final on Thursday evening courtesy of a 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano in the second leg of their semi-final, while fifth-placed Atletico will enter the contest off the back of a 2-0 victory over Celta Vigo in the league last weekend.

We say: Real Betis 1-1 Atletico Madrid

Atletico will certainly be the fresher of the two teams, which is likely to count for a lot in this type of match. Real Betis have been so impressive in the league this season, though, and we believe that the home team will have enough quality to secure a share of the spoils on Sunday night.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.
