Dalian Yifang attacker Yannick Ferreira Carrasco has revealed that he "would love to return to Europe" amid suggestions that Arsenal want to sign him in this summer's transfer window.

Carrasco started his professional career with Monaco before moving to Atletico Madrid, spending three years with the Madrid club ahead of a switch to the Chinese Super League last February.

The 25-year-old has scored 10 times in 28 appearances for Dalian Yifang, but has revealed that he wants to return to European football in this summer's transfer window.

"I would love to return to Europe. A lot of clubs were interested in me," Carrasco told HLN. "We tried to find a solution in January that would enable me to leave Dalian Yifang.

"But I can understand the club's thinking. They wanted me to stay."

Arsenal continue to be strongly linked with a move for the Belgium international, while Manchester United have also previously been credited with an interest.
