Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno 'on verge of Arsenal switch'

Arsenal reportedly prepare to unveil Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno as their latest signing.

Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno is allegedly on the brink of signing for Arsenal.

According to Kicker, the Gunners have had a €25m (£21.9m) bid accepted for the 26-year-old stopper.

The German will reportedly sign a five-year contract at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, providing he passes a medical.

Leno is said to have attracted interest from Atletico Madrid and Napoli, but Arsenal appear to have warded off competition for the goalkeeper's services.

The Leverkusen stopper is a full Germany international but missed out on a spot in their team for the World Cup finals.
