Humayun Saeed, one of Pakistan's most popular actors, has been cast in the next season of The Crown.
The 50-year-old will play the role of Dr Hasnat Khan, who was in a relationship with Princess Diana between 1995 and 1997.
The heart surgeon called time on their relationship in June 1997 - just two months before she was killed in a car crash in Paris with her new lover Dodi Fayed.
Production is now underway on the final two seasons of The Crown, which will cover the events of Diana's death and follow The Queen's reign into the early 21st century.
The new season will feature the third and final cast change, with Imelda Staunton taking over as the monarch and Elizabeth Debicki playing Diana.
