The show took a one-year break before filming began on the fifth and sixth seasons, which will follow the Royal Family through the 1990s and into the early 21st century.
Imelda Staunton is taking over from Olivia Colman as The Queen, while Jonathan Pryce will play Prince Philip, Dominic West will play Prince Charles, Elizabeth Debicki will play Princess Diana, Jonny Lee Miller will play Prime Minister John Major and Marcia Warren will play The Queen Mother.
All 10 episodes of season five are confirmed to drop on November 9, while the final season - currently being filmed - is due at the end of 2023.
