Fox is reportedly in "active creative discussions" about bringing back 24 for a new instalment.
The drama - starring Kiefer Sutherland as a US counter-terrorist agent - ran for eight seasons and a special between 2001 and 2010, with a London-set miniseries called 24: Live Another Day following in 2014.
A spinoff show without Sutherland, 24: Legacy, then aired in 2017 but was cancelled after just one season amid poor ratings.
According to Deadline, Fox is now examining a proposal to revive the show yet again "in some form".
"There's still a possibility, there's still some discussions with the producers on a take that we have yet to hear," Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn told the website. "There [are] some active creative discussions that are happening."
Details of whether Sutherland would be involved in the revival, or when the show might air, are unclear.
