Bob Odenkirk provides fans with an update following his collapse on the set of Better Call Saul earlier this week.

Bob Odenkirk has posted a message to social media following his collapse on the set of Better Call Saul earlier this week.

The 58-year-old was rushed to hospital in New Mexico on Tuesday after the incident, which occurred as he was working on scenes for the upcoming final season of the Breaking Bad spinoff.

Taking to Twitter on Friday afternoon, he told followers: "Hi. It's Bob. Thank you. To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week.

"And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me. It's overwhelming. But I feel the love and it means so much."

He continued: "I had a small heart attack. But I'm going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery.

"Also, AMC and SONYs support and help throughout this has been next-level. I'm going to take a beat to recover but I'll be back soon."

Filming of Better Call Saul's swansong began almost five months ago and it is unclear whether Odenkirk's health issues will delay the show's planned premiere, currently set for early 2022.
