Lorraine Kelly has reportedly turned down an approach to appear on the upcoming celebrity edition of The Traitors.
The daytime TV legend, 65, was one of several names on the producers' wishlist for the spinoff, with the likes of Sir Stephen Fry, Tom Daley, Sandi Toksvig, Alan Carr and Robert Peston also thought to be in the frame.
According to The Sun, Kelly was game to appear on the show but had to decline the offer due to her 'busy filming schedule'.
"BBC bosses were really keen to sign Lorraine Kelly up for Celebrity Traitors," a source said. "She loves the show and was super flattered to be asked, so she had a meeting with them which went really well.
"Producers were hoping she would sign on the dotted line, but in the end, Lorraine couldn't make it work with her schedule at the moment so had to pass.
"The powers that be were gutted but they love Lorraine and the door is definitely open if they do a second series of the star-studded spin-off."
A BBC spokesperson told the newspaper: "The Traitors is a game that includes lies and deception, thus it would be foolhardy for any Faithful to speculate before the game has begun."
The celebrity edition will be filmed in Scotland next month for broadcast later this year.
