ITV reportedly decides to bring forward this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! to avoid the programme going up against the World Cup in Qatar.

This year's edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! will reportedly be brought forward in order to avoid a clash with the World Cup.

The show traditionally begins in the middle of November, running for three weeks until early December.

However, this year the World Cup is taking place in Qatar between November 21 and December 18, with games likely to be broadcast in the evenings.

According to The Sun, ITV is planning to start I'm A Celebrity several weeks earlier than planned to ensure that it does not have to be bounced around the schedules to make way for the football.

"Two of ITV's biggest juggernauts - not just of the season but the whole year - are I'm a Celeb and its international football coverage," a source told the newspaper.

"So it makes sense to keep them apart, and as the World Cup isn't going to budge, it makes sense to move Ant and Dec.

"The last thing anyone wants is for viewers to have to choose between the latest from the jungle and a big game.

"At the moment nothing has been confirmed - but whatever ITV do will be in the best interests of viewers."

I'm A Celebrity has been staged in Wales for the last two years due to coronavirus but it is expected to return to its usual home of Australia this year.
