Rishi Nair leaves Hollyoaks after four years as Sami Maalik.

Rishi Nair has left Hollyoaks after four years playing Sami Maalik.

The actor's departure from the soap can be seen in All 4's first-look festive boxset, which allows viewers to watch all eight remaining episodes of 2021 before they air on Channel 4 and E4.

Sami made his debut in September 2017 and was introduced as the stepson of Misbah and the half-brother of Yazz and Imran.

In recent months Sami has been part of a major storyline for the Maalik family that has seen Misbah reveal that Shaq - supposedly Sami's cousin - is actually her son, the result of a rape by the malevolent Ali.

Hollyoaks' first-look festive boxset is available now via All 4.
