An episode of the new series of Doctor Who will reportedly be themed around the Eurovision Song Contest.
This year's edition of the camp music contest is being staged in Basel, Switzerland, with the grand final taking place on Saturday, May 17.
With Doctor Who due to return on April 12, the news means that the episode in question looks likely to be the sixth episode of the new series.
Speaking about the episode, a source told The Mirror: "Think Eurovision in space. There will be singing and there will be competition. Hey, there might even be a cameo for Graham Norton! Anything is possible."
The episode has been penned by Juno Dawson, who has previously penned the podcast Doctor Who: Redacted, while the music-themed nature of the episode suggests a potential return for Maestro (Jinkx Monsoon).
Dawson was recently quoted as saying: "It's the most ridiculous episode they've ever done - and the most expensive.
"I got to write The Doctor. I got to write Belinda. There's no limit to the imagination on the show. I think it's the best show ever made."
The director of the episode has been revealed as Ben A Williams, who previously helmed the acclaimed LGBT movie The Pass starring Whoniverse regular Russell Tovey.
