Result: Walker continues impressive start to season as Charlottle beat Atlanta

The Hornets surged ahead in the fourth quarter.

Kemba Walker continued his impressive start to the season with 29 points to lift the Charlotte Hornets to a 113-102 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

Adding a game-high seven assists, three rebounds and three steals, Walker helped drive a surge in the fourth quarter to allow the Hornets to pull ahead.

His side had earlier overcome a 54-51 deficit at half-time.

Walker, who became the ninth player in franchise history to score 2,000 rebounds in Charlotte, has scored 25 points or more seven times in the past 11 games.

Luka Doncic finished with 23 points as the Dallas Mavericks overcame the Washington Wizards 119-100, bringing his total to 198 points in his first 10 career games.

Four Mavericks players scored at least 19 points, while Dallas converted 26 of 27 free throws as they ended a six-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, CJ McCollum scored 40 points to power the Portland Trail Blazers to a 118-103 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Going 17 for 26 from the field, McCollum scored 19 of his points in the third quarter.

Caris LeVert starred for the Brooklyn Nets, recording 26 points as the side trounced the Phoenix Suns 104-82 for their second straight win.

The Nets had taken a 10-point lead at half-time and never let the Suns back in the game.
