Report: AS Monaco join Wolverhampton Wanderers in Pele chase

:Headline: Report: AS Monaco join Wolverhampton Wanderers in Pele chase:
Monaco are reportedly ready to lock horns with Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for the signature of Rio Ave midfielder Pele.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Monaco have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Rio Ave midfielder Pele.

The 26-year-old played 38 times for the Portuguese club last season and scored seven goals en route to a fifth-place finish in the Primeira Liga.

Wolves, who boast several Portuguese players and coaches in their ranks, have been linked with a €10m (£8.8m) move for Pele, who recently switched international allegiance to Guinea-Bissau.

According to A Bola, however, the 2016-17 Ligue 1 champions are also monitoring the former Portugal Under-21 player and may consider making a move in the summer.

Pele began his career with Belenenses and has also turned out for Olhanense, Pacos Ferreira, Feirense and Arsenal Kyiv.
