A number of Premier League and European clubs have reportedly been handed a boost in the race to sign Reading midfielder Michael Olise.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the top prospects in the Championship, a reputation which has been further enhanced with two goals and three assists being recorded during the opening two months of the season.

While the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been linked with the teenager, the Royals will want to keep the playmaker until at least next summer.

However, according to Football Insider, Olise has an £8m release clause in his contract, something which will likely lead to formal bids made at the beginning of 2021.

Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Monaco and Napoli have also been credited with an interest in the playmaker.

Reading will almost certainly look to agree fresh terms with Olise, who has helped the club reach the top of the second-tier standings. body check tags ::
