Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks is reportedly considering a January exit in order to avoid losing his place in England's squad for next year's Euros.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks could reportedly seek a move away from North London in the January transfer window.

The England international is finding it increasingly difficult to get a look-in under Jose Mourinho and has not taken to the field in Spurs' last two games against Chelsea and LASK Linz.

The likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko are all preferred to Winks at this moment in time, and the 24-year-old has also witnessed his compatriot Dele Alli be frozen out of the team in the early stages of the 2020-21 campaign.

According to The Mirror, Winks could therefore be heading for the Tottenham exit door in the next transfer window, with the midfielder worried about the prospect of losing his place in the England squad for next year's Euros.

The report claims that Winks would not be short of offers if he did opt for a change in direction, but it remains to be seen whether or not Spurs would sanction a permanent exit next month.

Winks is contracted to Tottenham until the end of the 2023-24 campaign, but the Englishman has not started a Premier League game for Mourinho's side since the third weekend of the season. body check tags ::
