Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension news vs. Newcastle United

:Headline: Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension news vs. Newcastle United: ID:406348: from db_amp
Sports Mole rounds up all of the latest injury and suspension news for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Wednesday's Premier League meeting with Newcastle United.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League for the first time since February when they travel to Newcastle United on Wednesday evening.

Spurs picked up a valuable 2-1 win over North London rivals Arsenal at the weekend and are now aiming to further close the gap on the top six.

Following the news that Manchester City's two-year ban from European competition has been overturned, however, Tottenham may well need to win their three remaining games to finish in a Europa League spot.

Ahead of their midweek trip to St James' Park, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news.

Juan Foyth

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Juan Foyth sustained a serious meniscus tear in June and is thought to have played his final game for the club amid links with a move away.

Troy Parrott

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Appendix
Possible return date: July 15 (vs. Newcastle)

Troy Parrott underwent surgery to remove his appendix last month. No timeline has been given for the young striker's return and he is not believed to be in contention for Wednesday's game.

Dele Alli

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: July 15 (vs. Newcastle)

Dele Alli has missed Tottenham's last three matches with a hamstring injury and remains doubtful for this trip to Newcastle.

Serge Aurier

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Personal reasons
Possible return date: July 15 (vs. Newcastle)

Tottenham confirmed on Monday that Serge Aurier's brother died in the early hours of that morning. The full-back is therefore unlikely to play any part against Newcastle.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Eric Dier

Return date: July 26 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Eric Dier is serving a four-match ban after being heavily punished for confronting a fan in the stands during March's FA Cup loss to Norwich City. The midfielder will not be back in contention until the final day of the season.
