Sheffield Wednesday have reportedly identified Steve Bruce as a potential replacement for Jos Luhukay.

The Owls have recorded just five points from their last 10 games in the Championship, and it has allegedly resulted in Luhukay being removed from his position.

According to The Sun, the Yorkshire giants are hoping to hand the role to Bruce who almost got Aston Villa promoted through the playoffs during the last campaign.

Wednesday currently sit just five points above the relegation zone, but it has been claimed that the club would look to target a return to the Premier League should Bruce arrive at Hillsborough.

The second-tier outfit are yet to officially part company with Luhukay, but an announcement is expected in the near future.
