Ajax have earned their biggest win of the season after they beat Roda JC 6-0 at the Amsterdam Arena in the Eredivisie.

The hosts went ahead early on after a corner was headed on to the post and Viktor Fischer pounced on the opportunity to tap into an empty goal.

The Dane then turned provider a minute later after he was played in behind the defence and he put it on a plate for Arkadiusz Milik to score without any opposition.

It was three midway through the first half as Fischer stole the ball before driving at the defence, and he then played in Milik who pulled the ball back for Davy Klaassen, and the captain placed his shot into the far corner of the Roda goal.

Despite Ajax's dominance, Roda should have pulled one back before half time after the ball fell to Tomi Juric 12 yards out, but the forward hit his shot straight at Jasper Cillesen.

The table-toppers continued their dominance in the second half as Milik made a run behind the Roda backline and the Polish international pulled it back again, this time for Fischer to connect with and the Dane notched his second with ease to make it 4-0.

Milik then got his double with just over 15 minutes remaining as he sized up a long-range free kick and the 21-year-old curled his effort into the bottom corner.

It was the captain's turn to get his brace with three minutes remaining after Fischer cleverly flicked the ball back to Davy Klaassen in the box and he calmly beat Benjamin van Leer at his near post.

Frank de Boer's men remain top of the Eredivisie table while Roda stay in 10th. body check tags ::
