Juventus have reportedly signalled intent to back away from the proposed European Super League.

The announcement comes at the end of a tumultuous season for the Bianconeri, who were given a 10-point penalty for financial irregularities which saw them miss out on Champions League qualification.

Juve and Spanish sides Real Madrid and Barcelona were the only three sides still signed up to the idea of the Super League, after initial plans collapsed very quickly in 2021.

However, the Italian giants have since written to Real and Barca to say they will seek an exit from the plans surrounding the concept.

Fellow Italian clubs AC Milan and Inter Milan left the project early after huge public backlash, but Juve now look set to follow them, especially after huge changes at board level.

Following defeat in the Europa League semi-finals and a seventh-place finish in Serie A, Juventus will only feature in the Europa Conference League next season. body check tags ::
