Juventus investigated by UEFA over £99m Cristiano Ronaldo signing

Juventus will reportedly be investigated for breaching Financial Fair Play regulations after signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid for £99m.

Juventus will be investigated to determine whether they breached Financial Fair Play regulations after signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid for £99m, according to reports.

The Old Lady spent a total of £217m on players in this summer's transfer window, including the likes of Douglas Costa and Joao Cancelo.

However, according to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, it is their signing of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner which has caught the attention of UEFA, which will see whether their spending was in line with the income they received in the 2017-18 season.

Ronaldo, who is reportedly earning £200,000 a week, came under question after failing to score in his first three league games with the Turin club.

However, the Portugal international turned things around when he scored a brace in his side's 3-0 win over Sassuolo at the weekend.
