Report: Manchester United youngster Demetri Mitchell to rejoin Hearts on loan

Demetri Mitchell will reportedly rejoin Hearts on loan for the duration of the 2018-19 campaign, having spent the second half of last season at Tynecastle.

Hearts are closing in on the loan signing of Manchester United youngster Demetri Mitchell, according to a report.

The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season at Tynecastle, making a total of 11 appearances for the Scottish Premiership side.

Mitchell was used heavily by Jose Mourinho for United's pre-season tour of the United States, but competitive starts have proved hard to come by and he now appears to be on his way out of Old Trafford for the duration of 2018-19.

Bolton Wanderers are believed to have made their interest known, though ESPN claims that Hearts are the favourites to land the versatile left-sided player.

Named United Under-23s' Player of the Year last season, Mitchell has been restricted to just one senior outing for the first team.
