Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly made it clear that he will not be signing a contract extension with the 20-time English champions.

The France international was strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, but the Spanish outfit could not agree a deal with United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are said to be keen to agree a new long-term contract with the 2018 World Cup winner, who has struggled to overcome an ankle injury in recent weeks.

The midfielder will see his existing contract at Old Trafford expire in 2021, although the club do have the option of activating a further 12 months.

According to Tuttosport, however, the former Le Havre youngster has made it clear that he will not be renewing his contract at Old Trafford in a bid to force an exit.

Juventus have also been linked with a move for the Frenchman, but it has previously been reported that United want upwards of £180m for the powerful midfielder, which could price the Italian side out of a swoop.

Pogba, who has contributed two assists in five Premier League appearances this season, has missed five of United's last six matches due to an ankle problem.
