Manchester United will reportedly look to agree a contract extension with Jesse Lingard if the midfielder remains at Old Trafford.

Midfielder Jesse Lingard is reportedly happy to remain at Manchester United for the 2021-22 campaign.

After starring during a loan period with West Ham United last season, it was expected that the England international would continue to look for first-team football over the summer.

However, a transfer elsewhere has not materialised, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer frequently insisting that the playmaker is in his plans going forward.

According to Sky Sports News, the 28-year-old is content with continuing his career at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future.

With no late transfer currently in the offing, the report adds that Lingard could be offered the opportunity to extend his contract past the end of this season.
