Manchester United will be looking to make it back-to-back Premier League wins when they welcome Newcastle United to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Cristiano Ronaldo has now started training with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side following his return to the club, and the Portugal international is expected to make his debut in this match.

Scott McTominay is already back in training after undergoing minor groin surgery, so the Scotland international could now be in contention to return against Newcastle on Saturday afternoon.


Marcus Rashford

Status: Out
Type of injury: Shoulder
Possible return date: Unknown

Marcus Rashford has undergone surgery to address a shoulder problem and despite returning to training, the England international is not expected to be available for selection until October.


Alex Telles

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: September 11 (vs. Newcastle)

Alex Telles injured his ankle during pre-season training, but the Brazilian has returned to training over the international break and is now in contention to make the bench on Saturday.


Dean Henderson

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: September 11 (vs. Newcastle)

Dean Henderson has been absent in the early stages of the season as he recovered from coronavirus, but the England international is now back in training and seemingly available for selection.
