Atletico 'looking to raise Partey release clause amid Man Utd, Arsenal interest'

:Headline: Atletico 'looking to raise Partey release clause amid Man Utd, Arsenal interest':
Atletico Madrid are reportedly set to offer midfielder Thomas Partey a bumper new contract to ward off interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly planning to tie Thomas Partey down to a fresh contract in order to ward off interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.

The 26-year-old has been a standout performer for Diego Simeone's side this season, playing the full 120 minutes as Atletico knocked holders Liverpool out of the Champions League with a 3-2 victory at Anfield.

Partey's performances throughout the season have garnered significant interest from other clubs, with the release clause in his current contract set at £47m.

According to Goal, Atletico are looking to insert a £93m release clause in Partey's new contract, and the midfielder could also see his wages rise to £80,000 per week.

The report also claims that negotiations are already underway with the Ghana international, although Simeone's side are not overly concerned about losing him at this stage.

Partey has registered 13 goals in 161 games for Atletico and will see his current deal expire in 2023. body check tags ::
