Anthony Martial will reportedly reject offers from Saudi Arabia this summer to continue his career in European football, with the forward widely expected to leave Manchester United in June.

The Red Devils have decided against activating an extension in the Frenchman's contract, and his terms with the 20-time English champions are due to expire at the end of the campaign.

Man United are believed to be open to January offers for the former Monaco youngster, but it is unlikely that he will be on the move before the end of the transfer window.

Martial is instead expected to leave on a free transfer this summer, and there have been claims that a number of clubs in the Saudi Pro League are interested in his services.

According to CaughtOffside, the 28-year-old is not currently considering a switch to Saudi Arabia, as he believes that he still has plenty to offer in a top European league.

The report claims that Inter Milan are showing an interest in the forward, while Fenerbahce and West Ham United would also be in the mix to secure his signature on a free transfer.

Martial has featured on 19 occasions for the Red Devils during the 2023-24 campaign, but he has only managed to contribute two goals and two assists.

The Frenchman has not turned out for Man United since being substituted early in the second half against Bournemouth in the Premier League on December 9.

Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag had said that Martial was out through illness, but he is believed to have been missing against Tottenham Hotspur last time out due to a fitness problem.

Man United remain in the FA Cup, but the team's elimination from the Champions League, and Europe altogether, means that there will be fewer fixtures in the second half of the campaign.

As a result, Martial is likely to find it difficult to secure action, as Rasmus Hojlund, who has scored seven times this season, is the club's number one centre-forward.

Incoming minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is said to be planning to bring an elite striker to the club this summer, meanwhile, with Martial set to end his long association with the club.

The ex-Monaco youngster has represented the English giants on 317 occasions in all competitions since arriving in 2015, scoring 90 times and providing 55 assists in the process.

Man United's next fixture comes against Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup on January 28, and it remains to be seen whether Martial is in the squad for that contest. body check tags ::
