Wolves sign Noha Lemina on loan from PSG

"Noha's an exciting, quick and direct winger. He has good technical ability and had a great football education at PSG. It's an opportunity for him to get a feel for us and we can assess him," said sporting director Matt Hobbs.

"He'll improve under Gary like all our players do, and Gary and his staff will get a real opportunity to develop him, which will give us an idea on what we do going forward.

"When Mario first joined, his brother had been flagged up by our scouting team. Mario's a driven individual, so doesn't want any favours, but he has real belief in him and thinks he's a Premier League player in the making, and Noha will back himself.

"There's no pressure from anyone here, it's a chance to look at an exciting young talent, who suits how we play with his pace and the spaces we look to exploit on the pitch, so he suits what Gary is doing, and we're excited to see what he can do."

Juventus confirm Carlos Alcaraz loan signing from Southampton

Juventus have confirmed the arrival of Southampton midfielder Carlos Alcaraz on loan with an option to buy.

The 21-year-old makes the switch to Turin just one year after joining Southampton from Argentinian outfit Racing Club, since when he has amassed eight goals and five assists in 47 games for the Saints.

Alcaraz came up with four goals and three assists from 26 games for Russell Martin's side in the first half of the 2023-24 season, but he has made the starting lineup on just 13 occasions in the Championship.

Alcaraz remains contracted to Southampton until 2028, but the 2002-born lynchpin will spend at least the next five months of his career with Juventus, who could pay up to €5.8m (£5m) for his signature on a temporary basis.

Hearts bring in Scott Fraser on loan from Charlton

"I'm pleased that we've been able to get the deal done and welcome Scott into the squad," said manager Steven Naismith.

"He's a great character, has got bags of experience and knows Scottish football well so he should settle in quickly.

"He'll bring an aggressiveness to our attack in that he always wants to get forward. He's consistently scored goals and provided lots of assists, both in Scotland and England, and the hope is that he'll be able to do the same for Hearts as we look to continue our good run of form."

Sporting director Joe Savage added: "It's obviously no secret that we've been trying to bring Scott in for a while and sometimes these things take time, but we're delighted to get it done and I have to give a big thanks to Will Thornton and Omni Sports for all of their help.

"Scott's had to be patient but now he can be fully involved with the first team and get the chance to show our fans what he is capable of on the pitch.

"I'm also really pleased that we've been able to support the manager in identifying the positions we need to strengthen and then being able to deliver his targets.

"We're in a good place and everyone is looking forward to continuing the positivity into the latter part of the season."

Man United 'learn asking price for Juventus defender Bremer'

Manchester United have reportedly been told that they would have to make an offer of €70m (£59.7m) to sign Juventus centre-back Bremer during this summer's transfer window.

The 26-year-old made the move to the Old Lady from Torino in July 2022, and he has featured on 66 occasions for the Turin giants in all competitions, scoring seven goals and registering one assist in the process.

Bremer signed a new deal with Juventus last month, with his current deal due to expire in June 2028, but there is currently speculation surrounding his future.

According to Calciomercato, Man United are huge admirers of the Brazilian, with the Red Devils keen to bring him to Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window.

Everton 'reject approach from AC Milan for Ben Godfrey'

Everton have rejected an approach from AC Milan for defender Ben Godfrey with just over 24 hours left of the January window.

Having been Everton's fourth-choice central defender this season, Godfrey had only featured three times under Sean Dyche this season before this week.

Those appearances came in the EFL Cup versus League Two Doncaster Rovers, as an injury-time substitute at Sheffield United, and against Burnley at left-back during Everton's defensive selection crisis in December.

Falling behind the starting pair of James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite, Godfrey also seemingly was below the divisive figure of Michael Keane in the pecking order at Goodison Park.

Manager Martin Paterson added: "We're delighted to get Kyle over the line and get him in the building. He is an exciting player who I am confident will help this team improve.

"He knows why he is coming and is determined to showcase his quality. My job is to give him the platform and coaching to improve as a player and person."

The England international did not train with the Red Devils on Friday morning, claiming that he was ill, but it later emerged that he had been pictured out in Belfast on Thursday evening at a nightclub.

According to talkSPORT, Rashford has been fined £650,000 for the nightclub saga, but he is set to be involved in Thursday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Arsenal's Lino Sousa 'to join Aston Villa on permanent deal'

Arsenal left-back Lino Sousa is reportedly close to joining Aston Villa on a permanent deal.

The highly-rated 19-year-old has been on the books at the Emirates since January 2022, when he left West Bromwich Albion's youth academy to advance his career with the Gunners.

Sousa has made an impression for the Arsenal academy squads, coming up with five goals and one assist in 36 matches for the Under-21s, and he played a key role in the Gunners' run to the FA Youth Cup final last season.

The teenager has trained with Mikel Arteta's first team during his time in North London, but he has only made one Premier League matchday squad against Brentford in September 2022, when he was an unused substitute.

Iraola not expecting Tottenham-linked Solanke to leave

Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has played down suggestions that Dominic Solanke could leave the club before the January transfer window closes for business.

Solanke has 12 Premier League goals to his name this term, and it has been claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a £50m bid for him before the winter deadline.

However, Iraola, speaking ahead of Thursday's league contest with West Ham United, said that he is expecting the centre-forward to remain at the Vitality Stadium.

Wolves 'turn attention to Yuri Alberto'

Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly turned their attention to trying to sign Corinthians forward Yuri Alberto.

Ever since Wolves allowed each of Fabio Silva and Sasa Kalajdzic to go out on loan, head coach Gary O'Neil has been eager to bring a new striker to Molineux.

Academy graduate Nathan Fraser has provided backup in the short term, the 18-year-old scoring in the FA Cup third-round replay with Brentford earlier this month.

However, Wolves have been heavily linked with acquiring a more experienced alternative to the outgoing pair, Chelsea's Armando Broja seemingly being their preferred target.

AFC Wimbledon sign Kofi Balmer on loan from Crystal Palace

"This is a very tightly orientated club. Everyone's in it together, everyone is going to help you out. If the team was going through a rough time you'd not only have the staff and the players behind you but also the fans. When I came in to speak to the manager the other day I felt wanted."

Manager Johnnie Jackson said: "Kofi is a young, aggressive defender who likes to play on the front foot. He will really fit into our style and everything that we do here. Over the weekend, it was claimed that the Bees had emerged as the frontrunners for the sought-after 18-year-old, moving ahead of other Premier League clubs.

A price of £25.6m has allegedly been agreed between the respective clubs with Nusa due to spend the remainder of the campaign in Belgium.

However, it has been widely reported that knee and back issues were identified by Brentford's medical staff when assessing the prospect earlier this week.

Chelsea's Santos 'could join Strasbourg on loan'

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to allow Andrey Santos to link up with Strasbourg on loan.

However, the one-cap Brazil international was given just one brief substitute outing against Liverpool, his only other appearance coming versus Burnley in the EFL Cup.

As a result, it came as no surprise when Chelsea opted to exercise their recall clause at the turn of the year, Mauricio Pochettino revealing that the Blues would take their time before deciding on Santos's next move.

Links with Marseille, Everton and Saudi Arabia led to nowhere, but according to BBC Sport, Ligue 1 strugglers Lyon have now shaken hands with the Europa Conference League champions over a deal.

The report claims that Benrahma will join the seven-time French champions on an initial loan deal, and Lyon will be obliged to make his stay permanent for £15m at the end of the season.

Man United 'attempting to sign Branthwaite before January deadline'

There will be changes to the defensive department at Old Trafford this year, with both Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans out of contract in June, while Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire face uncertain futures.

Lisandro Martinez is arguably the only centre-back at the club guaranteed to be there next season, and it is possible that a couple of new players in that area of the field could arrive as part of the rebuild under incoming minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Man United are believed to have a long-term interest in Branthwaite, who has made a strong impression for Everton during the 2023-24 campaign.
