Premier League Team of the Week - Harry Kane, Riyad Mahrez, Virgil van Dijk

Sports Mole selects its Premier League team of the week for gameweek 15, including Harry Kane, Riyad Mahrez and Virgil van Dijk.

For the first time in more than eight years, all 20 Premier League teams found the back of the net in gameweek 15 as fans were treated to a midweek round of fixtures.

The gap at the top of the table remains two points after Liverpool responded to Manchester City's win over Watford by coming from behind to beat Burnley on Wednesday.

Arsenal were involved in a second topsy-turvy top-six contest in a matter of days as they squandered a lead on two occasions en route to a 2-2 draw with Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur took full advantage by beating Southampton to displace their North London rivals in the Champions League places.

Chelsea also dropped points in a shock defeat to out-of-form Wolverhampton Wanderers, while there were also wins for West Ham United, Bournemouth and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Here, Sports Mole selects its Premier League team of the week for gameweek 15.

It is not often that a goalkeeper earns his place in this team having conceded twice and ended up on the losing side, but Ben Foster made a string of brilliant saves to keep the score down against Man City, allowing Watford to give themselves some late hope when they pulled a goal back.

Arguably the result of the round came at Molineux courtesy of Wolves' win over Chelsea, and the marauding Matt Doherty was integral to that, registering an assist to continue his fine form this season. West Ham's Arthur Masuaku also helped himself to an assist on the opposite flank, in addition to making a joint-game-high four tackles.

Not a single defence kept a clean sheet in midweek, so attacking prowess comes into thinking when selecting the back four and Virgil van Dijk also produced an assist alongside another imperious display during Liverpool's win over Burnley, winning a whopping 12 aerial duels.

Leon Balogun, Shkodran Mustafi, Michail Antonio and Terence Kongolo all scored from defensive positions, but the final spot in the back four goes to Newcastle's Fabian Schar, who made more tackles and won more aerial duels than any other player on the park during their draw with Everton.

Fernandinho put in yet another all-action display for City against Watford, winning the ball back and launching attacks, and alongside him in this team is James Maddison, who was once again on the scoresheet for Leicester City as they drew with Fulham and former boss Claudio Ranieri.

Completing the midfield trio is Ruben Loftus-Cheek who, despite ending up on the losing side for Chelsea, fired another reminder of his starting credentials to Maurizio Sarri by scoring at Molineux.

Man City flexed their strength in depth once again by replacing the in-form Raheem Sterling with Riyad Mahrez, who slotted straight into the team with a goal and an assist against Watford, just beating competition from teammate Leroy Sane and Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser - who also scored one and created another.
Robert Snodgrass makes his team of the week debut on the opposite flank having outshone some of West Ham's more expected dangermen by registering two assists against Cardiff, although fellow forgotten man Lucas Perez does not make the team despite coming off the bench to score twice for the Hammers.

Instead it is Harry Kane who leads the line having picked up a goal and an assist against Southampton, while Callum Wilson also deserves a mention after managing the same haul against Huddersfield Town.
