Premier League predictions gameweek 24: Palace's Leo Wyndham vs. Sports Mole

:Headline: Premier League predictions gameweek 24: Palace's Leo Wyndham vs. Sports Mole:
Sports Mole takes on Leo Wyndham of the band Palace for a Premier League predictions challenge in gameweek 24 of the 2023-24 season.
Sports Mole

Just two points separate the top three sides in the Premier League table heading into gameweek 24 of the 2023-24 season, as what is shaping up to be the most competitive title race in years continues to captivate.

Manchester City will have the chance to leap to the top of the pile when they get the latest gameweek underway at home to Everton in Saturday's early kickoff, although any lead they do establish may only be fleeting.

That is because Liverpool are also at home to a relegation zone-dwelling opponent in the form of Burnley in one of five Saturday 3pm kickoffs this weekend, a bumper group of games which also includes the enticing Tottenham Hotspur vs. Brighton & Hove Albion.

The third of the title challengers, Arsenal, are then in action away to London rivals West Ham United on Sunday, when Aston Villa also host Manchester United in a big game for the top-four race.

The weekend then concludes with another London derby as Crystal Palace welcome Chelsea to Selhurst Park in a match which sees two under-presssure managers go head to head.

Each gameweek, Sports Mole is taking on a famous musician or band in a prediction competition, and this week it is the turn of Leo Wyndham of the band Palace.

Leo Wyndham Q&A

How did you come to support Spurs and what are your favourite memories from your time as a fan?

My dad grew up a Spurs fan so followed in his path.

Too many to remember. Bale's destruction of Inter in the Champions League was special. The Ajax second leg Champions League semi-final felt like a dream and something that would never happen to my own club - it was unforgettably beautiful. Any game beating Arsenal is always glorious.

Who have been your favourite five players for your club? (Historically or currently)

Luka Modric, Rafael Van Der Vaart, Sonny, Gareth Bale and Erik Lamela. Lamela might seem a rogue choice but I always loved the way he played - a hint of madness, pure passion, bags of aggression and capable of a magic moment. Currently I feel like Pedro Porro could be sneaking on there anytime soon.

What's going on with the band at the moment?

We have a new album called 'Ultrasound' out on April 5. We're darn proud of it and excited for it to be in the world. Then Coachella and a month in the States in April - and more festivals and secrets up our sleeve for later in the year...

Check out 'Bleach', the latest release from London-based trio Palace, available on all digital streaming platforms now.

You can follow Palace on Instagram and X (formerly known as Twitter).
