Manchester United will be bidding to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on Chelsea at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils suffered a 1-0 loss at Newcastle United in the league on Saturday, with the result dropping them into seventh position in the table.

Erik ten Hag's side have already lost six times in the league this season, and they will be welcoming a Chelsea side that managed to record a 3-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Chelsea in Manchester.

Casemiro

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Casemiro picked up a hamstring injury during the EFL Cup defeat to Newcastle United earlier this month, and the experienced midfielder will be on the sidelines until at least Christmas.

Tyrell Malacia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Malacia is also still on the sidelines due to a knee injury which has required two separate operations, but he is due to return to action in the early stages of 2024.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: Unknown

Martinez is recovering from a second operation on a foot injury which he initially suffered in April, and Ten Hag recently said that the Argentine would not be available before Christmas.

Amad Diallo

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Amad remains unavailable for selection due to a knee injury that he picked up during pre-season, but the attacker is thought to be closing in on a return.

Jonny Evans

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Evans had to be replaced in the early stages of the recent Champions League clash with Copenhagen due to a muscular problem, and the central defender remains unavailable for selection.

Christian Eriksen

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Eriksen will be missing for Man United until the middle of December due to the knee problem that he picked up in the win over Luton Town before the November international break.

Mason Mount

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: December 6 (vs. Chelsea)

Mount was back in training ahead of the Newcastle game on Saturday after recovering from a calf issue, and he could make a return to the squad for the clash with his former club.

MANCHESTER UNITED SUSPENSION LIST

Jadon Sancho is still training away from the first team due to his falling-out with Ten Hag, and he will again miss out for the Red Devils at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. body check tags ::
