Wolves forward Raul Jimenez names Virgil van Dijk as his best opponent

Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Raul Jimenez says that he rates Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk as the toughest opponent of his career.

Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Raul Jimenez has acknowledged that facing Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk currently represents the toughest test of his career.

The Mexican has netted 39 goals during his near-two years at Molineux, while Van Dijk has established himself as the best centre-back in world football.

Although Jimenez got on the scoresheet against Liverpool as recently as January, he has praised the Dutchman for his performances since moving to Anfield.

When being quizzed on the subject during a question and answer session with Wolves, the 28-year-old said: "Van Dijk. Last season our battles were amazing and I had troubles with him in both matches and I think he's a great player who is only going to get better."

Jimenez is currently being linked with a future transfer to either Manchester United or Real Madrid.
