Team News: Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez start for Spain in World Cup clash with Iran

Spain make two changes to their starting XI for their World Cup Group B meeting with Iran at the Kazan Arena.

Spain have made two changes to their starting XI for their World Cup Group B meeting with Iran at the Kazan Arena.

Right-back Dani Carvajal has recovered from the injury picked up in the Champions League final to start in place of Real Madrid teammate Nacho.

Lucas Vazquez, meanwhile, comes into the Roja midfield ahead of Koke, but Diego Costa, who scored twice against Portugal in their 3-3 draw, keeps his spot.

As for Iran, coach Carlos Queiroz has made three changes from the side that beat Morocco 1-0 last week, with Saeid Ezatolahi, Mehdi Taremi and Majid Hosseini coming into the XI.

Roozbeh Cheshmi, Alirez Jahanbakhsh and Masoud Shojaei drop onto the bench for the meeting against the 2010 world champions.

IRAN: Beiranvand, Sadi, Ezatolahi, Pouraliganji, Omid, Karim, Amiri, Mehdi, Hosseini, Sardar, Ramin

SPAIN: De Gea, Alba, Ramos, Pique, Carvajal, Inietsa, Busquets, Vazquez, Isco, Silva, Costa
