AC Milan make contact with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte?

AC Milan reportedly contact Chelsea boss Antonio Conte about potentially replacing under-fire Vincenzo Montella.

AC Milan chiefs have reportedly contacted Chelsea manager Antonio Conte about becoming a possible replacement for Vincenzo Montella.

Pressure is growing on the current Milan boss following Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Sampdoria, which has left the club sixth in the Serie A table after six games.

It is believed that Montella's future could be decided based on results from their next two games against Roma and rivals Inter Milan.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan chiefs have already made contact with Conte and Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti about potentially taking over.

Conte was linked with a return to Italy in the summer, but he ended up signing a new two-year contract at Chelsea, where he won the Premier League in his first season.

In a recent interview, the former Italy national coach revealed that he does not intend to stay in England for "too long", stating that he will return to his homeland one day.
