Sports Mole previews Friday's La Liga clash between Cadiz and Getafe, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.
Sports Mole

Two teams battling to stay out of the La Liga relegation zone will lock horns on Friday evening, with Cadiz welcoming Getafe to Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.

Cadiz are currently 15th in the La Liga table, one point and one position above Getafe, who are level on points with 18th-placed Almeria in the battle to avoid the drop.

Match preview

Cadiz have picked up seven points from their last four matches in Spain's top flight, including four points from their last two games, beating Rayo Vallecano 1-0 before drawing 0-0 with Real Sociedad last time out.

The Yellow Submarine's recent form has moved them into 15th position in the table, but they are far from comfortable, sitting just two points above 18th-placed Almeria on the same number of games (24).

Cadiz have won four, drawn five and lost three of their 12 league games in front of their own fans this season to collect 17 points, and their form at home is likely to be key when it comes to their chances of staying in La Liga.

Sergio Gonzalez's side have a huge game away to Almeria next weekend, while they will host Sevilla in their first match in April, with their results in both fixtures likely to be extremely important.

Cadiz are in their third straight season at this level, which is their best run in La Liga since the early 1990s, while they have only lost one of their last four league fixtures against Getafe.

The last two La Liga matches between these two sides have finished level, including a goalless draw in the reverse fixture back in November.

Getafe's recent form has also been impressive, losing just one of their last five league fixtures, picking up eight points in the process, which has included victories over Valencia and Girona.

Last weekend, Quique Sanchez Flores's side were three goals ahead at home to Girona before the visitors scored twice in the second period, but the Madrid outfit held on to secure a huge three points.

Getafe are currently 16th in the table, level on points with 18-placed Almeria, and there are likely to be plenty more twists and turns over the next few months, as there are only four points between Valencia in 19th and 13th-placed Espanyol on the same number of matches (24).

The Deep Blue Ones have only played outside of Spain's top flight for one season since 2004, so it would be a surprise if they were relegated from La Liga this term.

Team News

Cadiz will again be missing Brian Ocampo, Jose Mari, Juan Cala, Jon Ander Garrido and Joseba Zaldua through injury for Friday's contest with Getafe.

However, the hosts have no fresh fitness concerns, so it would not be a surprise to see the same starting team from the goalless draw with Real Sociedad last time out.

Sergi Guardiola and Ruben Alcaraz are pushing to be involved in the first XI, but Roger should again lead the line, while Alex Fernandez is likely to continue in the number 10 position.

As for Getafe, the visitors, as it stands, have no injury concerns for the contest with Cadiz.

Munir El Haddadi has been featuring in a deeper position of late and that is again expected to be the case in this match, with Enes Unal and Borja Mayoral set to feature as the front two.

Portu could retain his spot as the left-sided wing-back, while Angel Algobia is expected to be given the nod over Carles Alena in the middle of the park on Friday night.

Cadiz possible starting lineup:
Ledesma; Carcelen, Hernandez, Fali, Espino; Fede, Escalante; Bongonda, Alex, Sobrino; Roger

Getafe possible starting lineup:
Soria; Suarez, Dakonam, Duarte, Alderete, Portu; Maksimovic, Algobia, El Haddadi; Unal, Mayoral

We say: Cadiz 1-1 Getafe

The last two league matches between these two sides have finished level, and we can see another stalemate on Friday night. There is not a huge difference in the quality between the teams, and a draw appears to be the most likely result considering the recent form of both sides.
