Saturday's Championship predictions including Brentford vs. Reading

:Headline: Saturday's Championship predictions including Brentford vs. Reading: ID:427052: from db_amp
Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's Championship fixtures, including Brentford vs. Reading.

Norwich vs. Cardiff (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Championship leaders Norwich City have the chance to tighten their grip on top spot when they welcome Cardiff City to Carrow Road on Saturday lunchtime.

The Canaries are three points clear at the summit, while Cardiff are nine places worse off and fighting to stay in promotion contention.

We say: Norwich City 1-1 Cardiff City

Norwich have taken 12 points from the last 12 on offer, while Cardiff have accrued 15 from the last 18, making them the Championship's most in-form sides.

Visiting boss Harris has lost his last three games against the Canaries, but we can see his side taking a point from this weekend's trip to Carrow Road.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Birmingham vs. Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Birmingham City host Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon with the two Championship clubs coming into this one in contrasting form.

Neil Warnock's men have won their last two matches, whereas Aitor Karanka's side have collected zero points out of a possible six in recent weeks.

We say: Birmingham City 1-1 Middlesbrough

With Birmingham poor at home and Middlesbrough struggling on the road, this encounter looks destined to be a draw. A share of the spoils would not be a bad result for either side, and they could settle for a point apiece.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a draw or an away win.

Brentford vs. Reading (Saturday, 3.00pm)

An enticing clash in West London awaits on Saturday as Brentford host Reading, with both sides currently occupying spots in the Championship playoffs.

The Bees sit in sixth place, only a point behind the Royals, who are fifth, but Veljko Paunovic's side have a worse goal difference.

We say: Brentford 2-2 Reading

Despite their injuries, Reading have coped admirably in their last two games and will battle for at least a point against Brentford. The Bees are draw specialists and both teams are strong going forward, so an exciting encounter that ends all square seems the most likely outcome in this one.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Huddersfield vs. Watford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Watford make the trip to the John Smith's Stadium to face Huddersfield Town having put together a three-match unbeaten streak in the Championship.

Despite going two games without success over the past week, Huddersfield head into this contest on the back of three successive home victories.

We say: Huddersfield Town 1-2 Watford

Watford have established themselves as the strongest challengers to the top two, and we expect another efficient performance from the Hornets at the weekend. While Huddersfield will be confident of another win in Yorkshire, they could be outfought at their home ground.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a draw or an away win.

Luton vs. Bournemouth (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Bournemouth will be aiming to keep the pressure on Championship leaders Norwich City when they travel to Luton Town on Saturday.

The Cherries are currently in second place – three points behind the Canaries – while the Hatters sit in 13th.

We say: Luton Town 0-1 Bournemouth

Bournemouth are really beginning to click into gear, but Luton are no pushovers so this won't be an easy game for the Cherries. However their attacking talent should shine through and their defence is proving hard to break down.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Millwall vs. Nott'm Forest (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Mid-table Millwall host surprise relegation strugglers Nottingham Forest at the Den on Saturday with both sides hoping that their poor form is behind them.

Having been on long winless runs, Millwall and Forest both secured morale-boosting victories on Tuesday and are now tasked with the challenge of building momentum from their positive results.

We say: Millwall 1-1 Nottingham Forest

There isn't too much to split these two, who face off in remarkably similar veins of form. With neither side keen to return to losing ways after their victories last time out, the pair may settle for a point at the Den.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Rotherham vs. Derby (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Wayne Rooney will be aiming to extend his unbeaten run as Derby County manager to seven games when the Rams pay a visit to the New York Stadium to take on Rotherham United in Saturday's Championship clash.

The two sides are level in the table on 16 points, but Rotherham sit two spots above 22nd-placed Derby owing to their superior goal difference.

We say: Rotherham United 1-2 Derby County

Derby have become renowned for their low-scoring affairs recently, but as long as Rooney keeps bringing in the points, the Rams faithful will pay no attention to the scoreline. However, Rotherham were highly unfortunate to lose in the manner that they did at Blackburn, and the hosts will be out for blood when they welcome Derby to the New York Stadium on Saturday, but we can see Rooney's unbeaten run at Derby stretch to seven matches with a narrow win against their fellow strugglers.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Sheff Weds vs. Coventry (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Bottom-of-the-league Sheffield Wednesday host newly-promoted Coventry City on Saturday as Tony Pulis desperately seeks to end his side's dire run of form.

Coventry, meanwhile, were amongst the relegation favourites prior to the start of the season but have battled their way to 18th, six points clear of the drop and are in good form ahead of this encounter.

We say: Sheffield Wednesday 0-1 Coventry City

Wednesday's poor form and struggles in front of goal should see a Coventry side unbeaten in eight and boasting a strong recent defensive record come away with all three points - and possibly a clean sheet - on Saturday.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Stoke vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers square off on Saturday afternoon with just two points separating the clubs in the Championship standings.

While the Potters are without a win in three matches, Blackburn's dramatic victory over Rotherham United in midweek was their first success in four attempts.

We say: Stoke City 1-2 Blackburn Rovers

With Stoke struggling to score goals, it heaps more pressure on their backline to keep out Armstrong and co. Although this will almost certainly be a competitive encounter, we expect the the extra firepower in the Rovers attack to prove decisive.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Swansea vs. Barnsley (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Barnsley make the trip to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea City having won their last three fixtures in the Championship.

Despite their surprise defeat at Derby County in midweek, Swansea still sit in fourth position in the standings.

We say: Swansea City 1-1 Barnsley

While Barnsley have been excellent since the arrival of Ismael, Swansea will be motivated to hit back after their defeat in the East Midlands. Both sides have the potential to nick this by the odd goal in three, but we are going to back a share of the spoils.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Wycombe vs. QPR (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Wycombe Wanderers entertain Queens Park Rangers on Saturday with last season's League One playoff winners aiming to end a run of three straight losses.

QPR have been in poor form themselves though going six games without a win since beating Rotherham United 3-2 back in November.

We say: Wycombe Wanderers 1-0 Queens Park Rangers

With the R's struggling to put the ball in the back of the net, it could be a perfect opportunity for Wycombe to pick up just their third league win of the season.

Adams Park is a tough place to go, and Ainsworth's charges are due another good result that their recent performances deserve.

Our tipster partners are predicting that both teams will score (BTTS - yes).
