Report: Bayern Munich favourites for Antonio Conte

A report claims that Bayern Munich are the favourites to appoint former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, who has been out of work for nearly a year.

Bayern Munich are the "most concrete option" for out-of-work manager Antonio Conte, according to a report.

The 49-year-old has been without a job since being sacked by Chelsea at the end of last season.

Conte won the Premier League and FA Cup during his two years at Stamford Bridge, and he also lifted three Scudettos in three seasons with Juventus.

Corriere dello Sport claims that the Italian is now keen to get back involved in management and Bayern are the favourites to land him.

Niko Kovac was under huge pressure in the first half of his maiden campaign at the Allianz Arena, but he has managed to turn things around and Bayern lead the way at the top of the Bundesliga.

However, Bayern chiefs are said to be looking for an alternative option for next season and Conte is considered the best manager on the market.
