Arsenal duo Ben White and Emile Smith Rowe miss out on places in the England squad, but Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka do earn spots in Gareth Southgate's team.

Arsenal duo Emile Smith Rowe and Ben White have not been included in the England squad for October's World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Hungary.

Smith Rowe has cemented his place in the Arsenal first team and bagged a goal and assist in last weekend's North London derby victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

White, meanwhile, has formed a solid centre-back pairing with Gabriel Magalhaes in the past few weeks and was widely expected to earn a call-up to Gareth Southgate's team for the upcoming international break.

However, while Bukayo Saka and Aaron Ramsdale are in the England team for the imminent qualifiers, White and Smith Rowe - the latter of whom remains uncapped - have not been selected.

The England Under-21s squad is due to be announced on Friday, though, and Smith Rowe could very well be selected for Lee Carsley's side instead.

The likes of Conor Coady, Tyrone Mings and Fikayo Tomori are all preferred to White for October's games, while Phil Foden and Ollie Watkins have also made their returns to the Three Lions' squad. body check tags ::
