Arsenal are reportedly contributing to 90% of Mesut Ozil's wages, despite the playmaker spending the past three months with Fenerbahce.

Ozil brought an end to months of uncertainty over his future by joining the Turkish giants on a permanent deal in the January transfer window.

However, despite mutually agreeing to terminate his Emirates Stadium contract, The Athletic claims that Ozil is still on Arsenal's payroll until the summer.

It is suggested that the Gunners are paying the vast majority of the ex-Germany international's £350,000-a-week salary, with Fenerbahce picking up the rest.

Former Real Madrid ace Ozil has appeared just seven times for the Yellow Canaries so far and has failed to score or assist a goal.
