Nottingham Forest have reportedly identified Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson as a potential signing in the coming days.

Despite having already made eight additions during the summer window, Forest remain in the hunt for fresh faces as they bid to put together a squad capable of challenging for promotion from the Championship.

According to The Guardian, there is interest in full-back Jenkinson, who has been made available by Arsenal manager Unai Emery.

The Gunners are keen to reduce their wage bill ahead of potentially making more signings, leaving the Premier League side open to a permanent or temporary exit for Jenkinson.

The 27-year-old made eight outings for Arsenal last season, while his last campaign at the second tier came with Birmingham City in 2017.
