Ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa, Sports Mole looks at how Mauricio Pochettino's side could line up in North London.

Tottenham Hotspur begin the new Premier League campaign with a home encounter against newly-promoted Aston Villa.

Having gone close to winning the Champions League last season, Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to maintain the club's momentum by registering three points against the West Midlands outfit.

However, while several fresh faces have come through the door, Pochettino has a number of selection issues ahead of the fixture at the club's new stadium.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how Spurs could line up on Saturday evening.

Out: Son Heung-min (suspended), Dele Alli (hamstring), Ben Davies (groin), Juan Foyth (ankle)
Doubtful: Eric Dier (medical procedure), Serge Aurier (hand), Victor Wanyama (knee), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring)

Pochettino must do without Son Heung-min this weekend as the South Korea international continues to serve a suspension for a red card picked up against Bournemouth in May.

Dele Alli is also out of contention due to a hamstring injury, meaning that Christian Eriksen should continue to feature in a creative role in the final third, despite being linked with a transfer away from the club.

Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela should be used on the flanks, while Tanguy Ndombele is expected to feature alongside Harry Winks in midfield.

Injuries to Eric Dier, Serge Aurier, Ben Davies and Juan Foyth means that the defence effectively picks itself, with Kyle Walker-Peters getting the nod at right-back.

New addition Giovani Lo Celso will likely feature on the bench, although Ryan Sessegnon is still nursing a hamstring problem.
