The exact scale of Liverpool's COVID outbreak, and which players have been affected, remains uncertain, but it could be the case that an in-form Shrewsbury side never have a better chance to pick up a first-ever win at Anfield.
Despite that, we are still expecting Liverpool to progress through to the fourth round relatively comfortably. The visitors do not score many goals and even a second-string Liverpool side should have enough to see off League One opposition.

Cardiff vs. Preston (Sunday, 2.00pm)
Cardiff City and Preston North End meet in an all-Championship encounter in the FA Cup third round on Sunday afternoon.
At a time when the Bluebirds sit four points above the relegation zone, North End have moved up to 14th position since the appointment of Ryan Lowe.

Morecambe's never-say-die attitude truly came to the fore against Doncaster, and the visitors will be fired-up to the maximum for this occasion, but Spurs should do their talking on the pitch.
The Lilywhites faithful will most likely have one eye on the transfer window over the weekend as well, but Conte's men should cruise to a comfortable win regardless.

Wolves vs. Sheff Utd (Sunday, 2.00pm)
Fresh from kicking off 2022 with a famous victory over Manchester United, Wolverhampton Wanderers switch their attention to the FA Cup on Sunday as Championship side Sheffield United travel to Molineux.
Both sides have suffered from coronavirus-related cancellations in recent times, with Wolves playing just once since December 19 and their visitors not playing since the day after that.

A 1-0 scoreline seems like a safe bet in any Wolves game at the moment, and given that they are likely to field a fairly strong side, they should be favourites to come out on the right side of it this weekend.
Sheffield United will be raring to go, but so long without a game will surely leave them rusty, and an away trip to Premier League opposition is not the ideal match for them to return in.

West Ham vs. Leeds (Sunday, 2.00pm)
West Ham United welcome Leeds United to the London Stadium on Sunday for one of only three all-Premier League ties in the FA Cup third round.
Both sides come into the match off the back of year-opening Premier League wins, and will hope to start 2022 in better form than they finished 2021.
We say: West Ham United 3-2 Leeds United
The first FA Cup meeting between these two sides since 1930 is all set up to be a cracker, with each of their last five games seeing a combined total of 45 goals fly in.
We fancy that trend to continue this weekend, possibly with the bonus of an extra 30 minutes on top, but ultimately expect West Ham to make it through to the fourth round given Leeds' significant injury troubles.

Charlton vs. Norwich (Sunday, 2.00pm)
League One outfit Charlton Athletic will welcome Norwich City to the Valley on Sunday afternoon, with a spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup on offer for both sides.
